Comedy Show Benefit at Digital Harbor High School
On November 7th, Digital Harbor High School will be hosting a comedy show to benefit the students who are in the International Program. There are two trips a year in the program, one in the fall and one in the spring, taking 3-45 students to the destinations. This fall they are traveling to Brazil and in the spring, they are traveling to Finland, Slovakia, Poland and Lithuania. The students have to fulfill requirements for behavior, attendance and grades in order to travel. In past years, the students who travel in the international program paid part of the cost and the school paid the remainder. However, this year the school lost $1.2 million in funding and cannot pay all of the remainder of the cost.
The comedy show will have professional comedians and will be held in the school’s auditorium on November 7th at 7:00 p.m. The tickets are $40 and will benefit the International Program. The school needs Silent Auction items and volunteers. Please try to attend and help the school! Delana Penn is running the program and her email is dpenn@bcps.k12.md.us. Please contact her if you can help.
Monthly BPD Southern District Community Relations Council (CRC) and Commander’s Meeting
Please make plans to join BPD Southern District's monthly Community Relations Council (CRC) and Commander’s Meeting, which take place every month on the first Tuesday at 7:00pm.
This month’s meeting will feature two guest presenters: Representatives from BPD's Entertainment District Unit, and Chief Inspector Dave McGinnis and Community Liaison Matt Achhammer from The Board of Liquor License Commissioners.Submit Your Questions in Advance to Get the Best Answers: Are you wondering the status of an incident, if a suspect was identified or apprehended, or why you saw a police response in your neighborhood on a certain date and time? These types of questions are best asked in advance so the Southern District team has time to ask the units handling those cases ahead of the meeting.

Vincent’s Tree Dedication
It is hard to believe that we are coming up to the one-year anniversary of Vincent Andrew's death. Ilana, his wife, and their two boys miss him everyday and every minute. And there are many of us who still think of him and miss him.
On Saturday, November 1st, at 10:30 a.m. Ilana and their families will dedicate a tree that has been planted at Federal Hill Park in his memory on October 25th. They are inviting members of the community to the dedication. (They were unable to gather their families for the dedication on October 25th, the day the tree will be planted in Federal Hill Park.) All are invited for food and drink after the dedication on November 1st to Ilana's house at 920 South Hanover Street right afterwards. Please come if you are able.
